Debbie Settle Scholarship Foundation

Criteria: Recipient must be a graduate or graduating from a Loudoun County high school within
the last six months with at least a 3.0 GPA; indicate an intent to study and undertake a future
career in music performance or music education, with some emphasis on recipients seeking to

pursue choral leadership, such as but not limited to, choral directing, choral education, and
choral performance. Once selected, applicants may apply for a renewed scholarship if
maintaining the course of study and 2.8 GPA or higher.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS: Completed Community Foundation universal application form;
FAFSA/1040, SAT/ACT scores, letter of recommendation, grade transcripts required and 250300-word essay sharing “how you seek to inspire others through a career in music.”
