Chadab Foundation Scholarship for the Visual, Performing and Media Arts

The Northern Virginia Community College Educational Foundation and the College Financial Aid Office are pleased to announce the availability of the Chadab Foundation Scholarship for the Visual, Performing and Media Arts for the 2021-2022 academic year. Recipient must be a full or part time student, must maintain a 2.5 GPA, must be enrolled in one of the following programs: the Associate of Fine Arts (AFA) Degree in Visual Art (including Fine Arts, Photography, and Graphic Design) or the AFA in Cinema; the Associate of Applied Arts (AAA) Degree in Fine Art, Photography, or Music; the Associate of Arts (AA) in Music and Visual Art; the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Graphic Design, Interior Design, Music Recording Technologies; the Applied Certificate in Music Performance; or the Associate of Liberal Arts (AA) Degree with a Certificate in Theatre.

Other requirements:

• Please select ONE of the following disciplines as the basis of your application and sample submission: Visual/Fine Arts, Photography, Graphic Design, Cinema, Interior Design, Theatre, or Music.
• Please describe your plans/intentions for continuing your career in the arts, through education and/or practice, beyond NVCC. Preference is given toward candidates who demonstrate a consideration toward the contribution of the arts to world change and social justice. Submission should be at least 100 words and no more than 500.
• Please paste the link to the Google Drive of your portfolio or the YouTube / Vimeo files of your performance work as a part of this application.
The Chadab Foundation Scholarship is not a transfer scholarship, but a scholarship intended to assist and promote completion of a degree program at NVCC. Preference will be given to applicants who are willing to present their works/projects, online or on the NVCC campuses.
