Chadab Foundation Scholarship for the Visual, Performing and Media Arts

The Northern Virginia Community College Educational Foundation and the College Financial Aid Office are pleased to announce the availability of the Chadab Foundation Scholarship for the Visual, Performing, and Media Arts.

To be eligible for the Chadab Foundation Scholarship for the Visual, Performing, and Media Arts, the following criteria must be met:

• Recipient must be enrolled full-time or part-time
• Recipient must maintain a grade point average of 2.5
• Recipient must be enrolled in one of the following programs:
• Associate of Fine Arts Degree in Visual Art (including concentration in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or Photography)
• Associate of Fine Arts Degree in Cinema
• Associate of Arts Degree in Music
• Associate of Applied Arts Degree in Music
• Associate of Applied Science degree in Graphic Design or Interior Design
• Career Studies Certificate in Theatre
• Certificate in Music Recording Technology

The Chadab Foundation Scholarship is not a transfer scholarship, but a scholarship intended to assist and promote completion of a degree program at NOVA. Preference will be given to applicants who are willing to present their works/projects either online or on a NOVA campus.

  2. Please describe your plans/intentions for continuing your career in the arts, through education and/or practice, beyond NOVA. Preference is given to applicants who demonstrate a consideration toward the contribution of the arts to world change and social justice. Submission should be at least 100 words and no more than 500.
  3. Please paste the link to the Google Drive of your portfolio or the YouTube/Vimeo files of your performance work as a part of this application.
