Chadab Foundation Scholarship for the Visual & Performing Arts

2. The Northern Virginia Community College Educational Foundation and the College Financial Aid Office are pleased to announce the availability of the Chadab Foundation Scholarship for the Visual & Performing Arts. Recipients must be enrolled in the Associate of Applied Arts Degree in Fine Arts, Cinema, or Photography; the Associate of Fine Arts Degree in Art or Photography; the Applied Certificate in Music Performance; or the Associate of Liberal Arts Degree with a Certificate in Theatre. The scholarship applicants will apply based on their work in one of the following disciplines: Painting/Drawing, Sculpture, Photography, Cinema, Music Performance, or Acting Performance. Recipients must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (high school or college). Scholarships extend to Visual and Performing Arts students who are committed to pursuing a career in their field beyond NVCC. Recipients must demonstrate in their application statement “a plan for” continuing their career in the arts, through education and/or practice. Scholarship Award winners are required to present their work/projects at the Schlesinger Center for the Arts of the Alexandria Campus in April for the NVCC community and for further recognition by the Chadab Foundation. Applicants must upload their work onto Google Drive or YouTube and share the link in their application.
