Joseph Windham Endowed Memorial Scholarship

The Northern Virginia Community College Educational Foundation and the College Financial Aid Office are pleased to announce the availability of the Joseph E. Windham Endowed Memorial Scholarship.

The Joseph E. Windham Scholarship honors the memory of Dr. Joseph E. Windham, Professor of History, whose caring manner and engaging personality gave confidence and skills to two generations of students.

This scholarship is to support a student who is majoring in Liberal Arts or Social Sciences and who is passionate about social and/or environmental justice.

To be eligible for the Joseph E. Windham Endowed Memorial Scholarship, the following criteria must be met:

• Recipient must be enrolled full-time or part-time
• Recipient must be placed in a Liberal Arts or Social Sciences program of study
• Recipient must have completed between 15 and 55 credit hours and plan to complete an Associate of Arts degree at NOVA
• Recipient must have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA
• Recipient must demonstrate an interest in social and/or environmental justice
• Preference given to Alexandria Campus student with Alexandria listed as home campus
